Dans le contexte de la Journée mondiale des droits de l’enfant, les membres du KaJuPa – notre parlement des enfants et des jeunes – partagent les droits qui leur tiennent à cœur à travers leurs paroles et des dessins créatifs. 25 ans de pédagogie assistée par l'animal : Un projet pionnier pour le bien-être des enfants et jeunes

En 2024, SOS Village d’Enfants Luxembourg célèbre 25 ans d'engagement en faveur des enfants et jeunes à travers la pédagogie assistée par l'animal. Ce projet, conçu pour soutenir le développement personnel et la stabilisation émotionnelle des jeunes confrontés à des situations de vie complexes, a prouvé son efficacité. Financé principalement par des dons privés, il continue à transformer la vie des enfants dans un cadre bienveillant et adapté. Depuis 1999, ce programme offre un espace sécurisé aux enfants pour se reconnecter à leurs émotions et développer leur empathie, avec plus de 900 séances individuelles en 2023. La relation unique établie entre les enfants et des animaux, tels que chevaux et ânes, souvent eux-mêmes issus de la protection animale, favorise leur rétablissement et renforce leur capacité à nouer des liens personnels et sociaux. On the 11th of October, we were delighted to welcome Mr Dereje Wordofa, President of SOS Children's Villages International, to the Kannerduerf in Mersch. His visit was an opportunity to show him the diversity of our support for children, young people and families in Luxembourg. On the agenda:- Presentation of our care programmes for children and young people- Focus on our family support activities - Initiatives to safeguard and protect children's rights - Exchange on our innovative approaches for a sustainable impact on the lives of our beneficiariesMany thanks to Mr Wordofa for sharing his experiences and interest in our mission in Luxembourg!

Animal-assisted pedagogy

Experiencing and building positive relationships contributes to emotional stability and strengthens children’s ability to form personal and social attachments.

Art-assisted pedagogy

Working independently on creative projects allows children to express their feelings, without their needing to speak. This helps them to understand their emotions and their own life stories.

Experiential and individual pedagogy

When climbing, hiking, canoeing or doing playful tasks in nature, children and young people can take responsibility for themselves and others, develop conflict resolution skills and strengthen their own personality.

Individual support

Development and implementation of personal support measures, such as promoting the acquisition of skills and knowledge by children, adolescents and young adults.
